The International Energy Agency (IEA) projects a decline of 2.6 million barrels per day in global oil demand in 2026, with diesel contributing 25% of the decrease. The Iran war disrupts fuel supplies, raises prices, and weakens economic outlooks. Demand is expected to fall by 2.5 million barrels per day in Q4 2026 but recover by 2 million barrels per day in 2027, remaining below 2025 levels. Global oil supply rose in September, led by Saudi Arabia and UAE.
