IDFC First Bank reported steady Q2 performance with healthy operating results and strong business growth. Net interest margins fell 32 basis points quarter-on-quarter to 5.6% from 5.9% in Q1, but management expects recovery to 5.8% by Q4 FY27 due to repo rate hikes and surplus liquidity deployment. Deposit growth was driven by FCNR(B) mobilisation, and loan growth excluding FCNR(B) loans rose 22% year-on-year across retail and wholesale segments. Motilal Oswal trimmed the target price despite these inline numbers.
