IAF Chief Warns of Pakistan Buying China's 5th-Gen Jets, Pilot Training
Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh expressed concern over Pakistan acquiring China's 5th-generation fighter jets and training its pilots. He highlighted delays in India's fighter jet induction, causing squadron numbers to drop from 42.5 to 29, especially after phasing out MiG-21s. Singh emphasized the need to add 36-40 aircraft annually and mentioned ongoing plans for multi-role fighters and LCA Mk1A to address gaps.
