PoliticsIAF Chief Says Delay in New Fighter Jets Hurts Air Force
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh stated that delays in inducting new fighter jets are negatively impacting the Indian Air Force. To maintain and enhance combat strength, India must produce 36 to 40 aircraft annually. The IAF relies on timely induction of LCA Mk-1A, MRFA, and additional Sukhoi-30MKIs to keep combat squadrons above 30 and aims to finalize the MRFA contract by the financial year's end.
