PoliticsIAF Chief Flags Delays in Tejas Jet Programme, Considers Foreign Jets
Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh highlighted that delays in the Tejas combat jet programme are negatively impacting the Indian Air Force (IAF). He expressed concerns over the fighter jet shortage and indicated that India might consider foreign options for acquiring 5th-generation jets. The IAF chief also pointed to Pakistan-China stealth jet cooperation as a security concern and mentioned the possibility of looking at other 5th-gen fighters if the AMCA project is delayed.
