Hyundai to invest ₹4,000 crore, double Pune plant capacity by 2030

Hyundai Motor India plans to invest an additional ₹4,000 crore in Maharashtra by 2030 to nearly double the production capacity of its Pune plant from 1.7 lakh to 3.2 lakh units annually. The plant, inaugurated by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and others, has already received ₹7,000 crore. This investment is part of Hyundai Motor Group's $15.5 billion India strategy by 2032.

Fairfax to Acquire 60.72% Stake in IDBI Bank for Rs 52,878 Crore

Canada-based Fairfax Financial Holdings will acquire a 60.72% stake in IDBI Bank for Rs 52,878 crore ($5.47 billion). The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, approved the deal. Fairfax will buy 30.48% from the Government of India and 30.24% from LIC. Post-deal, the government and LIC will hold 15% and 19% respectively, retaining a combined 34% stake. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman called it a strategic restructuring.
