Hyderabad-based biotech startup PopVax, founded in 2021, has launched RNA Foundry, a specialised facility to develop personalised cancer vaccines using mRNA technology. Founder Soham Sankaran highlighted the challenge of producing high-quality RNA medicines tailored to individual genetic profiles, unlike standardised vaccines by big pharma. The facility uses PopVax's proprietary mRNA platform and fridge-stable lipid nanoparticles, aiming to transform cancer care in India.
