Hundreds of Bengaluru residents formed a human chain to oppose two flyover projects proposed by Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Ltd (B-SMILE). They demanded dropping a 5.2-km flyover in Indiranagar and an 18.47-km elevated corridor between Ragigudda and Kanakapura Main Road. Residents cited concerns over tree loss, recent road improvements, and doubted the projects would ease traffic congestion. The 5.2-km flyover, costing about Rs 900 crore, runs from Swami Vivekananda Metro Station to Madiwala on Hosur Road. Some residents have challenged the plans in court.
