How MLC Elections Work and Who Votes in Six Indian States

The legislative council elections in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana highlight the role of the Upper Houses in these states. Known as Vidhan Parishad, these councils have members serving six-year terms.
