PoliticsHimachal Pradesh Signs Deal to Supply Electricity to Kerala
The Himachal Pradesh government has agreed to supply 600–900 MW of electricity to Kerala from October 1 to help ease the state's electricity crisis. Kerala has faced power shortages since May due to a deficient monsoon and high consumption. The deal with Himachal, along with other short-term agreements for 450–500 MW, aims to meet Kerala's peak demand and avoid power curbs. KSEB is also seeking to extend this arrangement beyond the initial period.
