The hearing of former Tata Trusts trustee Mehil Mistry at the Maharashtra Charity Commissioner’s office has been postponed to November 5, 2026. Mistry, a close confidant of Ratan Tata, resigned from three trusts last October after trustees opposed his reappointment. He currently serves only on the Tata Education & Development Trust. He filed a complaint alleging violations in the Bai Hirabai Trust’s trustee appointments, which require trustees to be Parsi Zoroastrians from Mumbai or Navsari. Bai Hirabai Trust named Noel Tata as reporting trustee in response.
