HAL Delivers First 3 HTT-40 Trainers to Indian Air Force

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has delivered the first three HTT-40 basic trainer aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Bengaluru on September 18. Full training operations may take up to two years as the IAF builds a fleet of 25-30 aircraft and trains flying instructors. Initially, the trainers will be used at the Flying Instructors’ School in Tambaram to prepare instructors before deployment at the Air Force Academy near Hyderabad.
