Gujarat HC stays non-veg food ban near Somnath temple

The Gujarat High Court on October 30 stayed a single-judge order that had struck down the ban on non-vegetarian food sales near the Somnath temple. The division bench, led by Chief Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak, upheld the Gir Somnath district Collector's August 10 notification prohibiting non-veg food preparation, storage, and sale within 500 meters of the temple. The next hearing is on December 26.
