GST Council Proposes Faster, Easier Refund Process for Businesses

The GST Council is focusing on simplifying and speeding up the tax refund process for businesses. In the first phase, the system will automatically approve full refunds of excess amounts in the electronic cash ledger. The refund application processing deadline is proposed to be reduced from 15 to 10 days. Additionally, 90% automatic refunds will be allowed for eligible zero-rated supplies and inverted duty structure cases.

Sensex and Nifty Rebound Led by TCS After Two-Day Slide
