GST Council Meeting Rescheduled to October 8 in New Delhi

The 57th GST Council meeting has been postponed to October 8 due to unavoidable circumstances, moving from the earlier date of October 7. Originally set for September 12, the meeting was deferred because of the BRICS summit. Chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Council will discuss GST registration, returns, refunds, dispute resolution, input tax credit flow, and enforcement reforms including arrest powers and prosecution thresholds.

The Indian Embassy and Ambassador Manoj Mohapatra are in contact with authorities and confirmed the three Indians are in good health.
