Greenpeace International accused rich countries of failing to meet their promise of providing USD 20 billion annually by 2025 to support biodiversity in developing nations. Despite 198 countries agreeing in 2022 to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, rich nations have mobilized only USD 18 billion in four years. Greenpeace also urged big companies profiting from genetic resources of poorer countries to share benefits fairly.
