Government directs Meta to avoid biased content recommendations

The Indian government has instructed Meta, owner of Facebook and Instagram, to ensure its recommendation algorithms do not disproportionately expose users to a limited set of narratives. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology cited reports that Meta's platforms favored certain content types. CDSCO: No Separate Export NOC Needed for r-DNA Drugs with Brand Name Changes

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) clarified that recombinant-DNA (r-DNA) drugs with authorized Indian marketing approval do not require a separate export no-objection certificate (NOC) if exported under different brand names, provided the drug composition remains unchanged. The CDSCO stated firms with valid marketing authorization can directly apply for export permission using Form 28-D without needing a separate export NOC.
