The central government has reduced duty drawback rates on exports of gold and silver jewelry. The rate for gold jewelry has been cut by 3.1%, and for silver jewelry and some other items by about 9%. Exporters will receive lower duty refunds compared to before. These rates were nearly doubled in July 2026. Experts say changes in metal prices and import duties prompted this revision.
