Government Announces Diwali Bonus Equal to 60 Days Salary for Postal Employees

The Indian government has announced a Diwali bonus for postal department employees for the financial year 2025-26. Eligible employees, including Group C, non-gazetted Group B, MTS, rural postal workers, and casual laborers, will receive a bonus equivalent to 60 days' salary. The maximum salary considered for bonus calculation is ₹7,000 per month. Rural postal workers' bonus will be based on TRCA and dearness allowance, capped at ₹7,000. Pro-rata bonus applies to those who worked part of the year.
