WorldGold Worth Rs 1.79 Crore Found Hidden Under Bengaluru Airport Trolleys
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrested two passengers at Bengaluru airport for smuggling 1.20 kg of 24-karat gold worth Rs 1.79 crore. The gold was concealed under luggage trolleys, which were used by unsuspecting passengers to bypass customs. The suspects arrived from Kuala Lumpur and monitored trolley movements to retrieve the gold after it passed customs control.
