Gold Prices Fall Before Dhanteras; Demand Expected to Rise
Gold prices have dropped over 5% in the past month, with 24-karat gold at ₹139,101 per 10 grams and 22-karat at ₹127,416 in Delhi as of November 3. Silver prices also fell sharply by about 20% last month. Despite global factors like the Iran war and a weak rupee, gold purchases are increasing ahead of Dhanteras on November 6, with sales expected to rise 10-12% from last year, according to Surendra Mehta of the India Bullion and Jewellers Association.
