BusinessGold Futures Fall 1% Amid Strong Dollar Pressure
Gold futures prices fell nearly 1% on Monday due to a strengthening US dollar, with MCX December contracts dropping by 1,020 rupees to 149,370 rupees per 10 grams. Last week, gold prices declined about 2% or 2,887 rupees per 10 grams. The dollar reached an 18-month high of 102.37, increasing pressure on gold. Globally, COMEX December gold futures rose slightly to $4,163.50 per ounce, supported by strong US employment data.
