ScienceGodavari River Rises Near Warning Level at Bhadrachalam
The Godavari River at Bhadrachalam rose to 42.80 feet by Sunday evening, nearing the first warning mark of 43 feet, with a discharge of 9.22 lakh cusecs. The rise was driven by inflows from tributaries, especially the Taliperu, which saw its reservoir gates opened to release floodwaters. Heavy rains damaged paddy nurseries in villages of Dummugudem mandal.
