Goat farming is becoming a profitable venture for farmers and livestock keepers. Choosing the right breed is crucial. Jamunapari and Barbari are two popular breeds raised for both milk and meat. According to Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Subodh Kumar Goyal, Jamunapari goats produce 2 to 2.5 liters of milk daily, identifiable by long ears and parrot-like nose. Barbari goats yield 1 to 2 liters daily and have small bodies with white and black spots. Both breeds are suitable for goat farming.
