Goa High Court Quashes ED Case on Illegal Mining Probe

On October 12, the Bombay High Court at Goa quashed the Enforcement Directorate's June 2014 case based on the 2012 Justice MB Shah Commission report, which found large-scale violations in Goa's iron ore mining. Mining operations were suspended in 2012 following the report and remained halted until December 2022. The probe involved the Goa Police SIT and ED's money laundering investigation.
