Goa College Launches Course on Preparing for Healthy Marriages

A Goa college has introduced a 15-day certificate course titled "Marriage Readiness: Preparing for Healthy and Lasting Relationships" from December 2 to 17, 2026. The course aims to help young people understand the responsibilities and commitments of marriage beyond just wedding preparations. This initiative follows Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant's plan to introduce pre-marriage counselling to reduce divorces, with over 3,000 marriage and divorce petitions filed in Goa courts from 2022 to 2025.
