GMC Srinagar Establishes Disability Support Unit for Students

Government Medical College Srinagar has established an Enabling Unit for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities to support students academically and clinically. The unit, effective from September 9, 2026, will facilitate reasonable accommodations and barrier-free access, coordinating with relevant authorities under the RPwD Act, 2016. Prof. Khurshid Ahmad Dar is appointed chairman, with several faculty members as members.
