Gem Chairman Veeramani Booked in Sixth POCSO Case for Minor Abuse

R Veeramani, chairman of Gem Group of Companies, has been booked in a sixth case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The Special Investigation Team revealed new complaints from two additional victims. Veeramani and his aides, including Shanthi, Mahendra Simhan, and former employee Kailash alias Ganesan, were arrested. Investigators found a pen drive with videos allegedly showing abuse of minor girls. Drivers involved in procuring victims were also arrested.
