GBA Approves Felling of 321 Trees for Bengaluru Power Project

The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has conditionally approved the felling of 321 trees and translocation of 16 others at the Hoodi substation in east Bengaluru for transmission network upgrades by KPTCL. The project includes underground cables connecting Hoodi to EDC and Koramangala substations, aiming to strengthen Bengaluru's 220 kV Inner Ring Transmission Network and ensure reliable power supply. Three peripheral trees will be retained.
