In Bengaluru's Harlur and Cheluvadipalya wards, irregular garbage collection is causing severe waste management problems. Residents like Deepali Jain struggle with infrequent auto-tipper pickups, sometimes only once every 7-10 days, leading to rotting wet waste and unpleasant odors. In low-income areas such as Jai Bheem Nagar, only a fraction of assigned auto-tippers operate, forcing residents to dump waste improperly. The city recently re-tendered seven garbage collection packages amid these ongoing issues.
