GAIL Q2 Net Profit Rises to ₹4,650 Crore on Gas Marketing Growth

State-owned GAIL (India) reported a more than twofold increase in net profit to ₹4,650 crore for Q2 ended September 30, up from ₹2,217 crore a year ago. The rise was driven by a 31% increase in gas marketing revenue to ₹41,226 crore. Revenue from petrochemicals and natural gas transmission also grew by 26% and 21%, respectively. GAIL approved an IPO for its subsidiary GAIL Gas, potentially selling up to 25%.
