FSSAI Seizes ₹81.8 Crore Food Items, Suspends 1,100+ Licences in Two Months

From September 1 to November 5, FSSAI conducted a nationwide inspection, seizing over 3,270 metric tonnes of food worth ₹81.8 crore and suspending more than 1,100 licences. It inspected 56,431 establishments, issued 10,047 improvement notices, cancelled 52 licences, sealed 314 establishments, and initiated 410 prosecutions. Non-compliant items included oils, milk, sweets, and packaged foods.
