FSSAI Orders Recall of Everest Cumin Powder Over Safety Concerns

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has directed Everest Food Products Pvt Ltd to immediately recall its pre-packed cumin powder after tests found it unsafe for consumption. A sample collected in Goa showed pesticide residues of Azoxystrobin and Thiamethoxam exceeding legal limits. The product was declared unsafe under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and further examination was ordered.
