French Teen Loses Hand Picking Up Grenade During School Protest
A 15-year-old teenager in Lens, France, lost his hand and part of his lower arm after picking up a sting-ball grenade fired by police during high school protests on Monday. The protests, demanding better classroom conditions, have intensified since late September. The teen was hospitalized in Lille and is reported to be out of danger, according to local officials and police sources.
