Formula 1 announced that Rwanda will host an African Grand Prix starting in the early 2030s, marking F1's return to Africa after nearly 40 years. The race will be held at a new track in Bugesera, near Kigali, under a 10-year contract. Rwandan President Paul Kagame called it a milestone for Africa, and Lewis Hamilton has long supported racing on the continent. The last African F1 race was in South Africa in 1993.
