Former Banker Revives Connecticut Wool Mill Supplying US Military
Jacob Harrison Long, a former investment banker, revived a Connecticut wool mill that closed in 2013 and left 85 workers jobless. He bought the 475,000-square-foot factory in 2014 without manufacturing experience. Twelve years later, the mill employs about 50 people and supplies fabric for US military uniforms. Long aims to expand textile manufacturing across New England.
