Xu Heyi, former chairman of Chinese state-owned automaker BAIC Group, was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve for bribery and money laundering by Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People's Court. He was also stripped of political rights for life and had all personal assets confiscated. Illegal gains will be recovered by the state. The sentence may be commuted if no further crimes occur during the reprieve.
