Foreign investors (FPIs) made a strong return to the Indian stock market, and falling crude oil prices have strengthened the rupee. On Friday, the rupee surged 56 paise against the US dollar to close at 93.91, marking its biggest one-day gain since October 12. The rupee reached a six-month high and became Asia's best-performing currency. Foreign investors bought shares worth about ₹25,000 crore this week, including $1.6 billion on Thursday, the largest single-day purchase in six years. Additionally, foreign banks selling dollars and a nearly 20% drop in Brent crude prices supported the rupee.
