Flydubai pilot Smit Machchhar, attacked by his Omani co-pilot on Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30, is making steady progress and regaining health, the Indian Embassy in UAE said. After the attack, passengers restrained the co-pilot and Machchhar received medical aid. He was moved to Abu Dhabi for treatment and is now stable, smiling, and chatting, according to India’s ambassador Deepak Mittal.
