Passengers on flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv reported a hijacking attempt when the Omani co-pilot, Hamam Al-Hammami, attacked the pilot-in-command, Smit Machchhar. After passengers restrained and tied the co-pilot, the crew reportedly asked them to untie him, raising suspicions. The pilot was injured but managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers to intervene and a second pilot to take control.
