Florida Woman Convicted in Fatal High-Speed Crash Killing Boyfriend

Leigha Mumby, 25, was convicted of vehicular homicide and reckless driving after a high-speed crash on February 9, 2025, killed her boyfriend Daniel Waterman, 22. The crash occurred on Interstate 95 in Flagler County, Florida, during a heated argument. Mumby was driving at 94 mph when she lost control, causing Waterman fatal injuries. He died eight months later from pneumonia related to his injuries.
