Florida Sinks 227-Foot Freighter to Create Boo McCulley Reef in 2025

On November 18, 2025, Florida deliberately sank the 227-foot abandoned freighter Borocho about nine miles off Martin County, transforming it into the Boo McCulley artificial reef. The ship had deteriorated in the Miami River for a decade before the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission contracted Resolve Marine Group to remediate and reef it. The vessel now rests nearly 200 feet underwater near St. Lucie Inlet.

Delhi HC refuses to stay probe into journalists accused of casteist remarks on ACP...

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday declined to stay the investigation into two journalists accused of making casteist remarks against ACP Vivek Bhagat. The journalists allegedly humiliated the officer and obstructed his duties during an October 3 protest. Justice Mini Pushkarna said the investigation cannot be stayed without reviewing the Delhi Police's status report. The court issued notice on the petition seeking quashing of the FIR against the journalists.

Due to Cyclone Arnab, Odisha has ordered the closure of schools and Anganwadi centres in Khordha, Puri, Ganjam, Koraput, Rayagada, and Nabarangpur districts starting October 27.
