Florida Opens $191.8M Water Plant to Protect Matanzas River
St. Johns County Utilities completed the $191.8 million State Road 207 Water Reclamation Facility in Florida. The plant treats wastewater and provides reclaimed water for irrigation, aiming to reduce reliance on the Floridan Aquifer amid drought. It can expand capacity to meet future demand and helps prevent nutrient pollution in local waters, protecting the Matanzas River.
