Floating Solar Reduces Seabed Light Without Raising Lagoon Temperature

A year-long study in a French Polynesian lagoon found that floating photovoltaic platforms significantly reduced light reaching the seabed, especially ultraviolet radiation across various wavelengths. Researchers monitored four platforms and a control area, noting strong light attenuation but no statistically significant changes in water temperature, which remained below sensor accuracy levels.
