Five UP Poll Officials Get Notices Over Duplicate Voter Names

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer's office issued notices to five election officials from the 347-Azamgarh Assembly constituency after the Samajwadi Party alleged that a voter's name, Vikas Yadav, appeared 10 times on the electoral roll. An investigation found 13 entries of the name, with two deleted and one belonging to a different constituency. Further action is pending under the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
