First Green Star Discovered in Space Due to Sodium-Helium Collision
Astronomers have discovered the first green star in space, located about 280 to 326 light-years away. This rare yellow-green white dwarf star emits a unique Chartreuse color caused by the collision of sodium and helium in its atmosphere. The star's light was altered by debris from engulfed planets, creating this unprecedented green hue in the universe.
