BusinessFactory Wages Rise Across India Except Jharkhand in 2024-25
Factory wages in India increased by 5.3% in 2024-25, reaching an average of Rs 2.28 lakh per worker. Jharkhand was the only state where wages fell by 5.2%, though its average wage remained high at Rs 3.04 lakh. Jharkhand's factory employment rose 9% to 2.08 lakh workers despite a slight drop in the number of factories. Bihar saw the highest wage growth of 16.7%, with wages averaging Rs 1.63 lakh.
