During a trek near Kootagal Betta in Ramanagara, a hill known as Talavadi revealed ruins of a fort and ancient inscriptions. An inscription from 1351 AD mentions Talavadi Bammanna granting a village to Chenneya Nayaka. The site features carved Nandi and Hanuman images, dolmens, and a herostone with an inscription dated 1085. Despite its historical significance, the fort lacks archaeological documentation.
