Experts Urge Scaling Battery Storage with Renewable Energy in India
At the Renewable Energy India Expo in Greater Noida, experts emphasized the need to expand battery storage and grid infrastructure alongside renewable energy capacity. India aims for 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, having already crossed 300 GW. Integrating more renewables requires investment in energy storage, domestic manufacturing, and research, said Jai Asundi of CSTEP. Yogesh Mudras highlighted the need for simultaneous growth in generation and grid storage.
