Corn silk, the fine threads around corn cobs, is popularly believed to benefit kidney and urinary health. Yoga coach Radhesa promotes it as a diuretic for kidneys, liver, and bladder. However, Dr. Urmila Anandh of Amrita Hospital warns that while corn silk contains antioxidants and shows promise in lab studies, there is insufficient human evidence to support its use as a kidney disease treatment.
